Yoga from the Core - 6 week series - Diane

Summer is a great time to expand & deepen your yoga practice & learn new postures or go more deeply into the ones you already know... Join in this class and have fun tickling your edges in a playful blending of Vinyasa Flow with static holding of postures exploring four of the major posture categories: Standing, Twists, Back Bends, Inversions. The classes are designed to increase flexibility, strength & stamina and to tune up and tone your body, mind & spirit.

Labor Day

Restorative Yoga This Active Relaxation class moves the body/mind into balance by supporting the body in asanas using props & gravity to allow the body to unwind. Each pose creates specific physiological responses that are beneficial to health and can reduce the effects of stress-related disease.

Gentle Yoga – Judi

Gentle Yoga - focuses on breathing exercises & stretching & toning muscles that are often neglected, but so important to keeping you healthy & mobile. And best of all, Gentle Yoga is easy enough for beginners. Who should attend this class series? Beginning yoga students, pre- natal yoga students, students with physical limitations. Perfect Healthy Back Class

* Yoga 101 & Gentle Yoga are consolidated for the summer.

Evolution FlowYoga is a vinyasa-style series of 70 individual asanas with a focus on movement from the heart and deep breathing from the belly. There is also an emphasis on meditation and connection with source energy. Theta-wave (deep-meditative) brain state is usually achieved for most people within the first quarter of the class. Theta is a very positive mental state which is also the well-spring of creative and inspired thought.

Mat Pilates

An innovative system of mind-body exercise evolved from the principles of Joseph Pilates.

Pilates dramatically transforms the way your body looks, feels and performs. It builds strength without excess bulk, creating a sleek, toned body with slender thighs and a flat abdomen.

It teaches body awareness, good posture and easy, graceful movement. Pilates improves flexibility, agility and economy of motion. It can even help alleviate back pain.
