| Heather Burrows - Registered Yoga Teacher |
About 9 years ago, I found yoga or rather yoga found me. I decided to give a yoga class a try at the local gym that I belonged to and never looked back.
I realized very quickly the physical benefits of a yoga practice as well as the balance that a regular yoga practice brings to every aspect of my life. Being a yoga teacher allows me the opportunity to share the essence of yoga with others. I enjoy teaching a Vinyasa flow style which focuses on mind, body and breath connection and with a strong emphasis on proper alignment. Through my teaching, it is my desire to share with others the importance of honoring and respecting our physical bodies and also realizing the importance of taking time to care for oneself.
I have had the opportunity to attend various yoga workshops through the years with such yoga masters as Dharma Mittra.
My future goal is to complete my 500 hour Advanced Teacher Training which will allow me to focus more deeply on the therapeutic benefits of yoga. |

| Cindy Cooper - Registered Yoga Teacher |
Cindy was trained in her yoga practice at The Sivananda Teacher Training held in Nassau, Bahamas. Sivananda yoga is based on the philosophy of Swami Vishnu-devananda who arrived to North America from India in 1957. This young yogi was sent by his teacher, Swami Sivananda, to share his knowledge of the yogic lifestyle and his vision that the practice of yoga could solve many of the problems of modern life such as poor health, stress, inner discontent, and even bring peace to one's community and the world. Today there are Sivananda ashrams, schools, centers, and retreats throughout the world. The Sivananda yogic lifestyle is comprised of five pillars: proper exercise (asana), proper breathing (pranayama), proper relaxation, proper nutrition, and positive thinking and meditation (dhyana). Cindy truly believes that the practice of yoga in this tradition changed her life, and she joyfully shares this gift with other aspiring yogis and yoginis today.
